Why Do So-Called "Patriots"
Backstab Other Patriots?
By: Lestat De Lioncourt
I have interacted with many patriots and patriot organizations since I
began my research into sovereign citizenship, and I have noticed a most
disturbing fact about the patriot community. Backstabbing, slander, and lies
concerning other patriots seem to abound.
Silly me, I thought other goals would be paramount on their minds, rather
than discrediting someone else.
I will use one organization for this article as an example. The Liberty
Foundation (known as the Pilot Connection a year ago) is a "first
amendment/educational society" that sells information about the IRS and
sovereign citizenship. You might have seen them getting blasted on 20/20
during the 1993 tax season.
I have been following what the Phillip Marsh has been telling his members
for quite a while now, and I have also read some of his books. Mr. Marsh
reports that another "so-called" patriot named, Irwin Schiff is a government
agent to entraps people into getting nailed by the IRS, and that only through
the Liberty Foundation can you know the correct way to become "untaxed".
In Phillip Marh's first book, he stated that it was Irwin Schiff's book,
"The Great Income Tax Hoax" first convinced him of the "voluntary" nature of
the federal income tax. He also states that he tried some of Schiff's
instructions on how to handle an IRS audit.
In the Liberty Foundation's newsletter, Marsh claims that Schiff is
betraying the Constitution and the Citizens of America, etc., etc.
Most people have a problem with a patriot earning large amounts of money
while selling this type of "revolutionary" new information. I can understand
a small amount, like most other patriots I know, but the amounts that the
Liberty Foundation charge are expensive and sometimes vague.
I have learned that getting your information from a variety of sources is
the best alternative to blindly believing one source without question. I
understand what the Liberty Foundation is trying to do, but I don't respect
the way they go about it.
You can't try to make a monopoly on freedom and you can't be the only
Patriot in the country. It takes teamwork to achieve your goals, and by
alienating other team members you only help the corrupt officials that want to
keep you and your grandchildren under their boot and in debt for generations
to come.
